Joe Steiner - Chief Executive Officer & Chairman of the Board
Joe Steiner is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Color Art. As CEO, Steiner heads the strategic planning for the entire organization, which includes leading Color Art's executive leadership team. In this role, Steiner oversees the development and implementation of the organization's objectives and identifies synergies across business units to optimize future growth.
Steiner directs all the Color Art integrated Interiors businesses in St. Louis: including Color Art Office Interiors, Color Art Service Division, Commercial Installation & Construction, Innovative Technology Group, Facility Management Services Group, and Image Flooring. Moreover, he directs all the Scott Rice Office Works integrated businesses in Kansas City.
Steiner joined the company in 1985, relocating from Kansas City to serve as President of Color Art Office Interiors. During his time as President, Color Art has grown from $24 million in annual sales volume to over $100 million. Under his leadership, our office furniture dealerships, Color Art Office Interiors and Scott Rice Office Works, have gained national recognition as market leaders and are counted among the largest in the Midwest region.
Steiner entered the retail automotive business in 1972 (as a Field Sales Manager for Ford Motor Co.) and he later used his experience to gain entry into the office furniture business from 1977-1982 at Steelcase. From 1982-1985, Steiner was president of Scott Rice in Kansas City.
A graduate of Kansas State University, Steiner holds a B.S. in Social Sciences with a minor in Business Administration. He has several professional memberships: Member of Downtown St. Louis, St. Louis RCGA, International Furniture Marketing Network, Faciliti Link, AAIM.
Steiner enjoys golf, tennis, boating, skiing, and racquetball.
He married Donna in 1972 and together they have two children as well as grandchildren.
